The Helix Nebula is located in the constellation of Aquarius, and sits around 650~ Light Years away from earth. This is what astronomers refer to as a “planetary nebula”, what you see is the result of a star reaches the end of its life and begins to shed off all of its materials. The culprit for this one is on a path to become a white dwarf star, and in the process it produces so much energy that it causes the surrounding gasses to glow and illuminate.
