The Mineral Moon.
You may be thinking right now that I’ve just done some silly photoshop work on this photo to add colours to the moon. But that’s far from the truth. The moon is actually full of colour, this is for various reasons. From meteor impacts spreading their materials over the surface and also what the moons surface is actually made of. The colours are completely invisible to the naked eye, We often associate the moon with being white or grey. However, through careful processing of the image I am able to pull out just a hint of it’s true colours.
The colours you see often represent things like Iron, Titanium, low Titanium Basalt and Anorthosite.
